Description
Join us for the May Workforce Council meeting on May 9 at 8:30 am a the Chamber, 610 S. Lexington Avenue.
Robin Bowers, Director of Career and Technical Education with Alamance Burlington Schools, will be discussing how business and industry can connect with ABSS students. There is a need for workers in the local area that do not have a four-year degree. Partnering with the schools can provide students with exposure to local companies, what they make and do, and to manufacturing career options within those companies. A few of the things Robin will cover:
- Job Shadowing
- Internships
- Career & College Promise
- Tours and/or speaking opportunities
- Field Trips
- Certificates and Credentials being earned by high school students
