Is your manufacturing company working to attract younger generations into your workforce? Today?s manufacturing is very different than it was just a generation ago. Dream It Do It, a program of the Manufacturing Institute, works to change misperceptions of the industry and inspire next-generation workers to pursue careers in manufacturing.
Through Dream it. Do It., the Chamber is sponsoring a Manufacturing Ambassadors Training for those in your company that host facility tours or open houses, have apprentices or interns, present to high school or community college classes about your company, or participate in career or job fairs. The 3-hour training will help those individuals learn to be ambassadors for your company and for employment in manufacturing.
You can read more about the Dream It Do It Manufacturing Ambassador Program here. You can also download a copy of "Voice: Your Guide to Developing Manufacturing Ambassadors" to review before the training.
Participation is limited to 30 individuals.
(This training is for employees at local manufacturing companies. If you are not employed by a manufacturer, but have an interest in attending, please contact Andrea Fleming at andrea@alamancechamber.com with your request.)
