2538 Highway 70 (US 70) Mebane, NC Karate USA's mission is: "To help every student — from age 4 to 94 — build a stronger mind and body through the practice of Tang Soo Do, fostering discipline, confidence, and respect in a supportive community." Karate USA was founded by Master Dan Daubenspeck, who studied under masters in Korea. He brought the art to North Carolina, where an early student of his was Art Johnson. They began teaching together about 25 years ago. When Master Dan retired, Master Art continued teaching and running the school, which was located in Daniel Boone Square.
We currently have instructors Master Art Johnson, 5th Dan; Master Tim Hinton, 4th Dan; Master David Ray Loftis, 4th Dan; Instructor Niki Hinton, 3rd Dan; and Timothy Hinton, Jr, 2nd Dan, Cam New, and Spencer Parris, both 1st Dan.
Fees/Admission
No charge to attend; Chamber membership not required to participate.
We encourage attendees to bring a give-away item, (i.e., a gift card or certificate, samples of your business' products, etc.), for door prize drawings. Those who donate will be given an opportunity to give a 10-second "elevator pitch" to the group.

Welcome to ElevateHER Entrepreneurs, designed just for female entrepreneurs/small business owners!
This program is all about building community. After all, nobody supports an entrepreneur better than another entrepreneur. This event is designed to create space for female founders/owners to lean on each other, to encourage one another during the business lows, and to celebrate the business highs, and for all to know that we have each other's backs.
We will enjoy meeting fellow founders/owners and connecting with each other over coffee at one of the most unique businesses in the area! Come learn more about this company and the owner's entrepreneurial story.
Bring your business cards, flyers, and/or brochures. We will have an announcement board so you may share any news.
You are welcome to drop-in as your schedule allows or come and stay for the entire event. Registration is not required but you are welcome to sign up if you would like to receive a reminder before the event.

Participants are not required to be members of the Alamance Chamber to engage in this program, but attendance is limited to female business owners only.
