SUMMARY:Moved to Virtual: NC IDEA Grant Lunch & Learn
DESCRIPTION:NC IDEA is an independent private\, 501(c)(3) foundation whose vision is to help North Carolinians achieve their entrepreneurial ambition to start and grow high potential companies. NC IDEA fosters sustainable economic development with competitive grants and programs for entrepreneurs and funding to strengthen the North Carolina entrepreneurial ecosystem. NC IDEA offers grant funding and support on the principles of diversity\, equity\, and inclusion (DEI). \n\n\n\nNC IDEA offers two grants: MICRO and SEED:\n\n\n\nThrough small\, project-based grants\, NC IDEA MICRO awards $10K in funding to startups actively moving their companies forward by validating assumptions and developing a business model. We have found that funding\, paired with mentorship and guidance\, early in a company's lifecycle\, can make a significant impact on future success.\n\n\n\nNC IDEA SEED offers early-stage companies the critical funding they need to scale faster. Their $50K grants are awarded to innovative startups with a proven concept even if they are not yet profitable. The funds\, along with mentorship and guidance\, push companies forward and reduce risk associated with growing startups.\n\n\n\nNC IDEA grants are awarded to companies bringing an innovative product or business model to the market. They prefer companies with proprietary intellectual property or other means of sustained competitive advantage that are solving large problems.\n\n\n\nThis Lunch & Learn program will introduce you to these grants and detail the eligibility criteria and the grant process. Following this program\, if it is determined that your company is a good fit for this grant opportunity\, the Alamance Chamber will sponsor the first three founders (who register for and whose companies qualify for this grant) to receive free grant coaching and support* for the duration of the NC IDEA spring 2026 NC IDEA grant cycle. \n\n\n\nParticipants are not required to be an Alamance Chamber member (investor)\, but the business must be located in Alamance County\, NC. \n\n\n\nLunch will be provided.\n\n\n\n*Grant coaching and support to consist of: personalized\, virtual 1:1 grant writing support\, 2.5 hours interactive and 1.5 hours offline support per company (research\, drafting\, proofing)\, direct feedback and accountability. All coaching and support will be provided by ElePitch.
