DESCRIPTION:This program is part of our Leadership Alamance Alumni Association\, offering LA graduates an opportunity to stay informed\, skilled\, and involved. Each of the four events in this series will focus on a hot topic or current event within the community\, featuring a presenter well versed on the matter. In addition\, topics may also include inspirational speakers\, leadership activities\, program spotlights\, and more.\n\n \nWe are kicking off the 2016-17 Learn with Leaders Series with 2016 Alamance-Burlington School System Teacher of the Year\, Jordan Hohm! Jordan is a graduate of Greenville College in Greenville\, Illinois and just completed his third year of teaching 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies at Broadview Middle School.\n \n\nJordan will share his story as it relates to his journey through his beginning years of teaching\, discuss issues in public education and how they pertain to Alamance County\, and share amazing things that are currently happening in our schools. You will have the opportunity to meet students from Mr. Hohm's classroom and hear first-hand about their experience in the school system. Following his discussion\, you won't want to miss the small group activity led by Mr. Hohm and his students to wrap up the session!
